"I Finally Know What the Detector Is Actually Reading! We already had a traditional CO alarm, but I wanted something that actually showed us a reading instead of just a green light. I like being able to glance at the screen and see the CO level, gas & smoke status, temperature, and humidity without checking an app."

Carbon Monoxide Is the Most Cause of Accidental Poisoning Deaths in America.

Every Year, 400+ Americans Go To Sleep And Never Wake Up

Don't Let Your Family Become A Statistic

Many families assume having a detector means they’re fully protected.

Carbon monoxide has no smell, color, or taste. It can be produced by furnaces, water heaters, stoves, fireplaces, generators, vehicles, and other fuel-burning equipment. A leak doesn’t have to involve flames or an explosion.

CO can slowly accumulate in the air while everyone inside the home is unaware. And while your family sleeps, your senses may give you no warning at all.

That’s why dependable monitoring matters.

CarbonSafety Warns You First

It doesn’t wait until the air is dangerous. You see the number rise from zero and act before a late alarm becomes the first sign of trouble.

The Part Nobody Tells You

Your Alarm Is Built To Stay Silent Until It’s Almost Too Late.

Carbon monoxide harms the body long before a standard alarm reacts and it can legally wait hours to sound. That’s why seeing the live number matters.

Every Second Counts: Protect Your Family From Deadly Gas Leaks and Fires

Real-Time Monitoring for Carbon Monoxide, Propane, Natural Gas, and Smoke.

See What Firefighters See

The Firefighter’s Approach: When firefighters respond to a CO call, they don’t rely on a beep. They walk in with a meter that shows the actual CO level, room by room, because the number tells them where the danger is and how bad it’s getting. Your ceiling alarm only tells you when it’s already bad. A live number tells you before it gets there.

  • A live CO reading, the way professionals check the air
  • See the level rising long before a standard alarm sounds
  • Gas, temperature and humidity on the same screen

CarbonSafety puts that live reading on your wall, 24/7, so you always know what’s in the air your family breathes.

“I glance at the display almost every morning before making coffee. Seeing that zero gives me a level of reassurance my old detector never did.”

6 in 1 Protection

Many household detectors monitor only one type of hazard. CarbonSafety combines monitoring for carbon monoxide, natural gas, propane, and smoke from fire in one compact device. Clear readings and audible alerts help you recognize potential hazards and respond quickly when something unusual is detected.

“We originally bought it mainly for CO monitoring, but one evening a pan started smoking while we were in another room. The alarm got our attention quickly enough for us to check the kitchen before the situation became more serious.”
Chris K., Minnesota✔ Verified buyer

Battery Backup Protection

A power outage doesn’t necessarily eliminate the possibility of CO, gas, or fire-related hazards.

The built-in backup battery helps CarbonSafety continue operating when household power is interrupted, giving you another layer of protection when normal electricity is unavailable.

“We lost power during a winter storm, and one of the first things my husband checked was whether the detector was still running. Seeing it stay on made us glad we chose one with battery backup.”

Always On, Always Working

A detector only helps if it’s operating properly. CarbonSafety performs automatic system checks designed to help monitor device operation without requiring you to constantly wonder whether the unit is functioning.

“Our previous detector never alarmed, so we assumed everything was fine. Later an HVAC inspection found a problem, and that made me realize I had no idea how well our old detector was actually working. I wanted something that gave me more information.”

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

A Few Final Answers Before You Order

1. How is 6-in-1 Detector different from my current detector?

A traditional CO alarm may stay quiet until carbon monoxide reaches a defined alarm threshold and depending on the concentration, the alarm may not sound immediately. Until then, all you really know is that the alarm hasn’t gone off.

The 6-in-1 Detector gives you something different: a live CO reading starting from 0 PPM, displayed directly on the screen. Instead of only knowing “normal” or “alarm,” you can actually see the number change and monitor what the detector is sensing in real time. And CO is only part of the picture.

Most homes already have smoke and carbon-monoxide alarms, but a standard CO alarm is not designed to monitor unburned combustible gases such as methane or propane. This 6-in-1 detector monitors carbon monoxide and combustible gas while also displaying temperature and humidity.

Four readings. One screen. More visibility into what’s happening in your home.

2. How many detectors should I have?

For primary CO alarms, the CPSC recommends having coverage on every level of the home and outside sleeping areas.

For additional CO & gas monitors, the right number depends on your home’s size, floor plan, fuel-burning appliances, local requirements, and the placement instructions for the specific device.

As a practical starting point, many homes use at least one monitor per floor, with additional coverage near sleeping areas and other appropriate locations identified in the manufacturer’s instructions.

For example, a typical two-story home with a basement may use around four units to cover the basement, main floor, upper floor, and bedroom area. Smaller apartments may need fewer.

Always follow the exact placement guidance for CO and combustible-gas detection rather than placing a unit directly beside a gas appliance by default.

3. Where should I install it, and at what height?

Use the exact placement instructions supplied with your detector.

Carbon monoxide can mix throughout indoor air, but a combination unit also monitors combustible gases and different gases behave differently. That means the most convenient outlet is not automatically the best location.

For primary CO protection, CPSC recommends alarms on every level of the home and outside sleeping areas. Avoid putting an alarm where furniture or curtains can obstruct it.

Do not place the detector directly next to a stove, furnace, shower, or another source of heat, moisture, or combustion unless the manufacturer specifically instructs you to do so.

4. Will it go off every time I cook or take a hot shower?

It is designed to monitor carbon monoxide and combustible gas not smoke or steam.

However, that does not mean nuisance alarms are impossible. Cooking with gas appliances can produce real combustion gases, and an improperly placed detector may respond to conditions near the appliance. Proper placement matters.

If the alarm sounds or the gas reading rises unexpectedly, do not automatically assume it is a false alarm. Follow the product instructions, ventilate or leave the area when appropriate, and investigate the source safely.

5. How can I tell whether the detector is still working?

Use the device’s Self-Test function according to the instruction manual and regularly check the Power, Fault, and Alarm indicators.

The digital display is useful for showing current readings, but a number on the screen alone is not proof that the sensing element is accurately detecting CO or gas.

Follow the manufacturer’s recommended testing and replacement schedule. For primary CO alarms, CPSC recommends regular testing and purchasing units that meet the current UL 2034 safety standard.

6. Can I use it in an apartment, rental, RV, or cabin?

The plug-in design can make installation convenient in many locations because it does not require drilling or hardwiring.

For apartments and rentals, follow the product placement instructions and continue using any alarms required by your landlord or local building code.

For RVs and campers, use only equipment appropriate for that environment and follow RV-specific safety requirements. CPSC notes that CO alarms are available for recreational vehicles and should be used there.

Do not assume a household plug-in detector automatically replaces an RV-certified CO or propane alarm.

7. Is the 6-in-1 CO & Gas Detector the same as similar detectors sold under other names?

Many plug-in CO and combustible-gas detectors can look nearly identical while using different sensors, internal components, manufacturers, firmware, certifications, and alarm specifications.

Do not assume two products are identical simply because the housing or display looks the same.

Always verify the model number, manufacturer, safety certification, operating specifications, and instructions for the exact unit you purchased.

8. What does CarbonSafety detect?

CarbonSafety monitors three major household gas hazards: carbon monoxide, natural gas, and propane.

Instead of relying on separate devices for each gas, you can monitor all three from one convenient unit.

9. How do I set it up?

Simply plug CarbonSafety into a compatible standard wall outlet.

That’s it.

No wiring, tools, ladder, or electrician required. Setup takes only a few seconds.

10. Does it detect carbon monoxide?

Yes. The display shows measured CO concentration in PPM (parts per million).

11. What does the number on the display mean?

The digital screen shows the current CO concentration in PPM (parts per million).

A reading of 0 PPM means the device is not currently detecting carbon monoxide at its sensor. If CO levels rise, you’ll be able to see the reading change on the display.

When detected levels meet the device’s programmed alarm conditions, the audible warning will activate automatically.

12. How is CarbonSafety different from a basic CO alarm?

Many traditional detectors primarily provide a status light and audible warning once their programmed concentration and exposure-time conditions are reached.

CarbonSafety gives you live digital readings starting at 0 PPM, providing more visibility into what the detector is sensing instead of requiring you to rely only on an alarm.

You can check the number anytime and notice unusual changes before an audible warning becomes your first source of information.

13. What happens during a power outage?

CarbonSafety includes a built-in backup battery that helps keep the detector operating when household power is interrupted.

This provides continued monitoring during temporary outages.

14. Does it show room temperature?

Yes. Temperature is displayed alongside the safety-monitoring readings.

15. Does it show humidity?

Yes. The screen displays relative humidity as RH%.

16. How loud is the alarm?

The product materials specify an audible alarm rated at ≥85 dB.

17. How long is CarbonSafety designed to last?

CarbonSafety has a rated service life of up to 5 years, according to the product specifications.

Like all safety detectors, it should be replaced once it reaches the end of its rated sensor life or sooner if the device indicates a fault.

18. Does it require an app?

No app is required for the core display and audible-alarm functions.

19. Does it require Wi-Fi?

No Wi-Fi connection is required for the current on-device monitoring functions.

20. Is it difficult to install?

The plug-in version requires no drilling or hardwiring.

Plug it into an appropriate compatible outlet and follow the included placement instructions.

21. Can the plug rotate?

Yes. The exact product imagery shows a freely rotating rear plug.

22. How much electricity does it use?

The plug-in product material lists static power consumption of ≤2W.

23. How do I know the detector is working?

CarbonSafety performs automatic system checks designed to monitor device operation.

If the system detects a fault or operating issue, the unit is designed to provide an indication so you know attention may be required.

24. What happens during a power outage?

CarbonSafety includes a built-in backup battery that helps keep the detector operating when household power is interrupted.

This provides continued monitoring during temporary outages.

25. Where should I install CarbonSafety?

Placement depends on your home layout, appliances, and the manufacturer’s installation instructions.

Common locations may include areas near fuel-burning appliances and outside sleeping areas.

Always follow the included placement instructions and applicable local safety guidance when deciding where each detector should be installed.

26. How many CarbonSafety units do I need?

For multi-level homes, using a detector on each floor can provide broader monitoring.

Additional units may be appropriate near sleeping areas or potential fuel-burning sources depending on your home’s layout.

Many households may use 2–4 units, but the right number depends on the size and configuration of your home. Follow the manufacturer’s placement recommendations for your specific setup.

27. What is the return and warranty policy?

Eligible purchases include a 30-day money-back guarantee and 90-day product warranty, subject to the applicable Return & Refund and Warranty policies.

“As a firefighter, I’ve seen firsthand how dangerous carbon monoxide can be because you can’t see it, smell it, or rely on symptoms to warn you early. What I like about this detector is the live digital reading you can actually see what’s happening in your home instead of waiting for an alarm to sound. It’s simple to plug in, easy for the whole family to understand, and adds an extra layer of awareness around furnaces, gas appliances, garages, and other potential CO sources. I’d absolutely recommend having one on every level of the home.”

"Worth it just for what happened in week one. I bought this after someone in our family had a carbon monoxide scare. During the first week, I walked into the basement one morning and noticed the display reading 23 PPM. My old detector upstairs was completely silent. We had the furnace checked, and the technician found a problem with the heat exchanger. Seeing the number gave us a reason to investigate instead of waiting for an alarm. Honestly, I’d recommend getting enough units to cover multiple areas of the house."

"Bought it for my Dad. My dad is 78 and lives by himself, so I bought him a two-pack and went over to set everything up. Now when I call him on Sundays, one of the first things I ask is, “What does the number say?” He checks the screen and tells me. Most of the time it reads zero. It’s a small routine, but having a number we can both see gives me extra peace of mind."

"It helped us find a problem early. About three days after installing it, I noticed a reading of 12 PPM in our laundry room. We had everything checked, and it turned out the dryer vent had come loose behind the wall. We hadn’t noticed symptoms, and our regular alarm hadn’t sounded. The display simply showed us that something wasn’t normal, which gave us a reason to investigate."

"Replaced all three of my older detectors. I had three older plug-in CO alarms and honestly had no idea how much life they had left. After learning that CO sensors don’t last forever, I replaced all three with live-display monitors. Now I can glance at the screen each morning instead of relying only on a status light. For me, that added visibility is worth the cost."

"We bought them before our baby arrived. We have a gas furnace and a baby on the way, so upgrading our CO monitoring was high on our safety list. We ordered a multi-pack, and my husband had every unit plugged in before dinner. Being able to glance at the monitor outside the nursery and see a zero reading gives me extra reassurance at night."

"Good overall, here’s my honest take. I’ve been using mine for about two months. The live PPM display is genuinely useful and much easier to understand than my old detector. My only complaint is that the test alarm sounds a little quieter than my previous unit, which may be worth considering in a larger home. The build quality feels decent rather than premium. Even with that, I’d still purchase it again because I really like having a live reading."
